we just released some new features that make adding bling to your pics more fun and easier to customize. now you can add text to your pics and you can re-size stamps to make them fit your picture better.
so if you don’t see the stamp that you want or if you want to change the size of one of our stamps – now you can add your own text or re-size the stamp so it fits just right. try it out here and let us know what you think!

we know a big reason our users keep logging into Moblastic is because we help them keep in touch with friends.
we introduced a new feature to let our users keep in closer touch with their friends: people tagging in photos. try it out – it’s a lot of fun! 
we added some very basic search functionality to the site. i know, i know…another thing that was long overdue. but at least we’ve got a kinda-sorta-good reason for why it took longer to get search out: we made user info and location searchable. so not only can you look up people by their name, email or cell phone number, you can also search to see everybody in a certain city or zip code.
we’ve got some more stuff related to location that we’re working on – so stay tuned…
p.s.: even though i’m not one for moral victories, georgetown’s loss to ohio state last week was a worthy moral victory 
. i’d take a loss in the Final Four next season too!
one request we kept getting from users: why can’t i share my digital camera pics on Moblastic? after initially resisting the idea in order to keep all our content mobile-originated, we realized that the digital camera / mobile distinction was silly: user-generated content is user-generated content. so we finally enabled picture uploads from PCs – and the user response has been great! as usual, we should have listened to our users much earlier .
p.s.: just as importantly, georgetown is going to the Final Four! go Hoyas!
march 17….what a great day! not only was it st. patrick’s day, but it was also the day georgetown advanced to the Sweet 16 by beating boston college. as long as the hoyas keep winning, expect me to find more excuses to write about them. i’ll drink to that .
this admittedly doesn’t have anything to do with Moblastic, but it’s still super important stuff since i’m a georgetown grad: the hoyas are back! the NCAA tournament bracket got announced yesterday and my hoyas got a #2 seed in the East region. let’s hope this is finally the year that Georgetown makes an extended (and long-overdue) run through the tournament. if we do, you’ll definitely be reading more about it on this blog .
did you see the recent WSJ article “Say It With Txt” (reg. required) about how people are “sext messaging”? the article is right about the impact of txt messaging in relationships. but, the article doesn’t talk about the impact of sharing camera phone pictures and mobile images in relationships!
to prove the point and make valentine’s day more fun, we rolled out an easy way for our users to send mobile valentine’s images. try it for yourself – it makes “plain old” text messaging look bland in comparison

it’s super bowl sunday, which means practically everybody (even my wife) is going to be watching the game…AND the commercials. watching, rating and talking about the super bowl commercials is almost as big a deal as the game itself.
it’s not quite like rating super bowl commercials (ok, it’s not even close), but we thought it’d be more fun to be able to rate pictures on Moblastic too. try it out next time…it’s an easy way to spend even more time on Moblastic .
